CBSC guardians serve a diverse population and are sensitive to all religious and cultural practices. The CBSC Guardianship program follows all standards set forth by the National Guardianship Association, State, and County guidelines.

Katherine Paone, NCG/Director of Operations

Katherine graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pennsylvania State University in 2010. Upon graduation she worked at Livengrin Foundation in Bucks County, PA where she co-facilitated group, individual, and family-based therapy for adults with Co-occurring Disorders. After Katherine’s time at Livengrin, she moved on to work at Lenape Valley Foundation in both their Case Management Department and on their Mobile Crisis Team. She has also served as a Vocational Specialist for the Assertive Community Treatment Team in Westmoreland County and as a therapist on the Family Focused Team in Pittsburgh. Katherine is currently enrolled in Widener University’s Online MSW Program and continues to expand her knowledge in all areas of the Human Service field. Katherine is certified in Mental Health First Aid, Suicide Prevention and Assessment, and is a National Certified Guardian. Katherine’s passion is for helping at risk individuals in need of supports and services. Katherine would be happy to assist you in remaining as independent as possible.

 

 

 

 

 

Mashea Johnson, NCG/Chief Financial Officer

Mrs. Johnson received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Performance from University of Southern Mississippi in 1998. She spent 12 years working at Community Options in Nashville, TN as Residential Director. Community Options works with individuals with significant disabilities through residential services, day programs, social enterprises that employ individuals with disabilities, high school transition programs, and specialized programs for respite and medically fragile adults. She then went to work at Resources for Human Development (RHD) and opened the first Intensive Behavior Residential Program (IBRS), that provided 24 hours support to adults and their families with teaching skills and strategies to reduce and manage behaviors while also increasing prosocial behavior.
Mrs. Johnson moved to Pittsburgh, PA in 2014 and began working for Casey Ball Supports Coordination, LLC as a Supports Coordinator to set up needed services for people to live at home instead of nursing facility. In 2015, she became Training Director, 2017 Billing Director and 2019 CFO. While working for Casey Ball, she has worked with AAA, APS, Dept of Aging, and Autism Waiver, just to name a few. She is also a National Certified Guardian.
In her free time, Mrs. Johnson coaches high school basketball, softball, and spends time with her wife and 5 children.
